I know what you are thinking. “Why would a SIP Trunk Provider start a blog?” Well, I'm glad you asked!
We decided to start a blog because we get asked all kinds of questions by our customers that we want to help them with, but can't build a “feature” for. For example, we want to use this blog to talk about technical subjects like the difference between Asterisk and Freeswitch or how to combat NAT issues. We want to be able to showcase some of the Open Source projects we support like FusionPBX and dSIPRouter and ask those developers to write about their projects on our website. We also want to use this as a platform to announce new features and cool new updates that can get overlooked in our emails. Sometimes it's better to just have an RSS feed than send more spam.
We are going to try and post 2 articles a month on this blog and we promise neither of those articles will be written by SEO people. They will come from members of the Skyetel staff, or people inside the Skyetel community who we support and love. So the content in each post should be relevant and interesting… we hope :).
